The initiative of the Municipality of Trieste Local Police Department, Security and Civil Protection, carried out with the contribution of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region Local police service, security and immigration policies, aims to "promote better security conditions in the reference area and provide to the reassurance of the civic community against predatory crimes, in particular thefts and robberies ".

The intent is to allocate a contribution for interventions for the installation of security systems in private homes, the common parts of condominiums, as well as for other interventions identified in Article 2 of the Regulation http://bandieconcorsi.comune.trieste.it/contenuti/allegati/20_DG_351_2020_BANDO.pdf

The urban security interventions that can be financed under the Regulations concern the purchase, installation, upgrading, expansion and activation of security systems at the buildings identified by the Regulations.

In particular, contributions to third parties, to be disbursed to an extent of not less than 60 percent of eligible expenditure, concern the purchase, installation, upgrading, expansion and activation of security systems at:

a) buildings used as the dwelling of individuals who have been continuously resident for at least five years in the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region;

b) condominiums for the common parts;

c) religious, religious and pastoral ministry buildings;

d) properties used for professional, production, commercial or industrial activities;

e) school buildings and sports facilities not owned by local authorities.
